Program Note:

The first in a series of pieces for solo performer created during the covid-19 pandemic. This piece for Charlie was workshopped and recorded in our basement, and the source material largely comes from warm-up and technical exercises that I heard Charlie practicing regularly in the spring. The music wanders from idea to idea until settling on the right patterns to exploit musically, ultimately using up all of the kinetic energy the piece creates.
